At its core, Les Excavations Marchand & Fils (EMF) is a family business built on a human scale. Since its foundation in 1974, EMF has built up a unique and impressive track record and established itself as one of the largest general civil engineering contractors in Quebec. From mining companies to hydroelectric power plants, EMF has been meeting the needs of clients in many private and public sectors for 50 years, earning a reputation for reliability and excellence.
In 2024 EMF embarked on a new chapter, focusing its efforts on its operations in Bécancour, a vibrant industrial sector it has proudly served for some 25 years.

Warehousing, logistics and transshipping
Our facilities are strategically located in the heart of Bécancour’s integrated industrial and port park, SPIPB. In addition to civil engineering, the Bécancour division specializes in bulk material storage, handling, bagging, and transport.
